On January 21-22 in Milan, Italy, the ERDN team participated in a kick-off meeting of a new project under Soil Mission from Horizon Europe: #SOILTRIBES 🌱🇪🇺
These were two very intensive, fruitful days, during which the 25 partners of the Consortium met in person for the first time and gave a clearer outline of the project, which aims to pave the way towards inspiring “back to Earth” narratives translated in new formats of knowing, feeling and behaving in regard to soil, its importance and challenges, and its future, which is deeply connected with ours.
ERDN have a very important role – bridging the two sister soil projects in which we participate, SOILTRIBES and SoilScape Project. Project Officer Ms. Amanda Jane OZIN pointed to ERDN as a linking organization and encouraged cooperation and synergy of activities – to inspire each other and not to duplicate activities, but to make them complementary.
  • Katarzyna Gizińska gave a presentation on the main objectives of SOILSCAPE and showed the common elements and space for cooperation and synergy of activities.
  • Zbigniew Floriańczyk presented the tasks that ERDN is responsible for in SOILTRIBES: developing resources, acceleration and transformation activities for business & participation and organization of regional/national events for wide audience.
We are very excited and already looking forward to more meetings and work on SOILTRIBES. Special thanks to POLIMI and INOVA+ for organizing the kick-off meeting and to our colleagues from the Polish Gmina Michałowice, who together with us will represent Poland in this project.
